Niris is a Greek company whose focal point is the design and creation of luxury silk scarves and wraps where beauty, elegance, and charm are deftly interwoven. For Niris, every woman is special. That is why our products are unique, with each design produced in limited editions, a symbol of prestige and a carefree attitude.
Niris not only encourages the use of raw materials with high-quality standards but also is driven by a non-industrialized production approach. Our products are created exclusively by hand, one by one, with special care in Soufli, the home of the silk industry. Our designs reveal a special dynamism – wonderful thematic prints in bright colors, inspired by places of incomparable beauty, which harmoniously complement every woman’s appearance. We aim to transfuse grace, sophistication, independence, and femininity, and elevate every woman’s style and confidence.
Source of inspiration and creation
The source of inspiration for the establishment of Niris is the Nereids. Beautiful sea nymphs, the daughters of Nereus and the Oceanid, Doris, who were unrivaled in beauty and charm! Dynamic yet calm and composed, they are symbolic of everything to do with the sea and its wealth, while also representing the exotic, the seductive, and the feminine. The Nereids are the symbol of the power hidden inside every woman. A power that can be reflected in our appearance, through light, airy fabrics, bold prints, and colors, in one of the most timeless of accessories, one with unparalleled integrability in all fashion trends.
About us
Niris was established by Christiana Mitropoulou, who grew up surrounded by fabrics thanks to her grandmothers, one of whom was a skilled seamstress, the other introduced her to knitting and embroidery. Her love for fashion and creation impelled her to work professionally in couture and accessory design. She studied fashion design at Norwich University of the Arts and completed her studies with a Masters in Textile Print at University of the Arts London. Following an in-depth review of international trends, spanning diverse civilisations and cultures, she now presents Niris. Sharing her passion for creating scarves and wraps as a means of personal expression, highlighting the uniqueness and personality of every modern woman, with an emphasis on detail. It is the encapsulation of her personal vision of a favorite accessory, one that she reintroduces to us through the addition of new aesthetic-altering elements.

The main concept behind our collection is to inspire women to embrace their power. Our products are made in Greece, with sustainability foremost in mind throughout the entire design and manufacturing process.
We believe in buying less and buying better, and we value slow fashion; as a result, we do not create our collections based on the fashion seasons, but we keep them entirely seasonless. Moreover, during the production process, we at Niris ensure the reduction of our environmental footprint, constantly seeking sustainable solutions towards a greener future, with zero waste and squandering of resources.
